Sarah Jayne Designs is the home behind two very different, but equally heartfelt, creative worlds.
We believe that the things we surround ourselves with should be beautiful, useful, individual and made with care. From treasured books and heirloom Bibles to colourful pieces of art made from buttons and beads, everything begins with a love of materials, creativity and making something a little bit special.
Chapter & Tweed
Our love of books and beautiful textiles comes together in Chapter & Tweed.
Using genuine Harris Tweed, we create book sleeves, Bible covers, journal covers and other bookish pieces designed to protect and celebrate the stories that matter to you.
Thoughtful, tactile and made to last, Chapter & Tweed is all about the pleasure of books, beautiful fabrics and things made by hand.
Button Alchemy
Then there is Button Alchemy — our more colourful and curious side.
Here, ordinary buttons, beads and little treasures are transformed into unexpected pieces of art.
Curious art made from little things.
What starts as a collection of tiny individual pieces becomes something entirely different — fruit, flowers, creatures, wildlife and whatever else sparks the imagination.
It's playful, tactile, colourful and a little bit magical.

Although Chapter & Tweed and Button Alchemy look very different, they share the same foundation:
a love of beautiful materials, handmade craftsmanship and creating things with personality.
Sarah Jayne Designs is the umbrella that brings these creative worlds together — giving us the freedom to explore different materials, different ideas and different ways of making.
