Design Exclusive - Red Bird Custom Bible Rebinds
I was feeling Mondayish, when a really interesting message popped into my emails...
Kevin wanted to talk about a collaboration to make an exclusive bible sleeve. As I read through the message and then went onto his website I began to get excited, His work is amazing!
Kevin is a part-time Bible rebinder and a full-time pastor, he has been rebinding since 2023. His company is called Redbird Bibles.
A Bible rebinder is a professional who specializes in rebinding Bibles, which involves
transforming worn or damaged Bibles into new, durable covers. This service typically
includes using premium materials such as goatskin, cowhide, and other high-quality leathers to create a new cover for the Bible. The rebinder ensures that the Bible is
not only restored but also preserved for future generations, making it a valuable service for those looking to keep their religious texts intact and in good condition.
Kevin began producing a line of rebinds that he labeled Redbird Select. These rebinds represent his best work, using the best materials and premium Bible blocks and wanted to do a limited run of Redbird Select rebinds that would include one of our Bible covers with it.
Of course, I was all over it, something new to design... yes please!
We hashed out the design elements, sizes, colours, interior, swing tags, label placements and came up with a stunning zipper sleeve that perfectly matches his website colour scheme....exclusive to Redbird Bibles.
