Keepsake Book Sleeves / Tablet Sleeves
Our keepsake Book Sleeves / Tablet Sleeves are a wonderful way to keep the memory of your little one's or family members with you. If you've been wondering what to do with those gorgeous baby grows, shirts and dresses then this could be your answer....
Please read this guidance before sending us your clothes.
We get a lot of questions about the clothing which can be used. This should answer all your questions!
Types of clothing. We use baby grows as a guide for numbers of items for baby keepsake sleeves. For child and adult keepsake sleeves we use shirts/ tshirts as a guide but we can work with all kinds of materials - if they are delicate/knitted then we back them with another fabric for stability. We can't work with plastics such as rain wear, or lycra such as swimwear or very chunky knitted items, if in doubt about what you are sending, drop us an email to discuss. The best finish for the Sleeve will be to have all the same/similar types of fabric
Number of items. Baby keepsakes: As a guide to what to send to us we ask the for equivalent number of baby grows. This assumes baby grows that are approximately 0-6 months. If they are tiny baby grows, vest, tops, trousers etc then they would count as half a baby grow. Equally, if the items are much bigger baby grows, or dresses with quite a bit of fabric to them etc, then you may be able to send less. Generally we would say it is better to send slightly too much than too little. Child keepsakes: We ask to send us equivalent number of shirts, this assumes shirts are child aged 12+. If they are child aged 11 or below this would count as half a shirt, equally if the items are much bigger or have a lot of fabric to them such as dresses then you may be able to send less. If you want a mix of fabrics, you can send quantity of fabric to the equivalent of a shirt for example: the front of two shirts. Adult keepsakes: We ask to send us equivalent number of shirts, this assumes shirts are large adult. If they are small adult this would count as half a shirt, equally if the items are much bigger or have a lot of fabric to them such as dresses then you may be able to send less.Again if you want a mix of fabrics then you can send them all (see notes)
Notes. If you have favourites then please tell us in a note, so that we can make sure they appear on the finished Sleeve. Also tell us if you want a bit of everything using. If you don’t, and we don’t need it all, then we will make a decision about what to use and will send back any uncut items and recycle cut items.
Quality. The most worn items are often the favourites, however, please be aware that the more stretched/worn/washed something is, the more delicate the finished Sleeve will be as stitches are more likely to pull into little tiny holes on seams.
How do I send them in? Once you have placed your order you will receive a confirmation email with postage instructions. Please follow the instructions! It is really important to make sure the order reference and a senders address is on the outside of the parcel.
